Boys & Girls Clubs of America/UPS Road Code Kickoff Video
Rush Powers Media worked in collaboration with creative agency Marketing Support Inc. to produce a kickoff video for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America/UPS Road Code initiative. Our role included creative development, illustration, motion graphics creation, voice-over recording, audio/video/music editing and delivery of the finished video. It was named the Winner of the 2013 Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship Film Festival and a Gold Winner in the 2012 MarCom Awards.
Hawthorne Race Course: “Down to the Wire” TV Commercial
Rush Powers Media was hired by marketing and communications company Agency360 to develop a TV and radio campaign for the Hawthorne Race Course 2012 racing season. The “Down to the Wire” theme was created to convey the high-energy thrill of live horse racing to general sports fans, as well as racing enthusiasts. RPM’s responsibilities included creative development, voice-over casting and recording, and 3D motion graphics. The TV commercial aired on broadcast and cable networks in the Chicagoland area. The radio spot ran on local radio stations in the Chicagoland area.
Rush Powers Media collaborated with the creative agency Marketing Support, Inc. to produce two videos for Serta to promote their new iComfort Directions mattress and new adjustable bed foundation. We were provided design elements from existing packaging and merchandising along with pre-existing footage and a voiceover script. Our task was to take these elements—all created independently at various stages of the process—and create unified, effective videos with the appropriate tone, visual style and message. Our role in the project also included graphics development and animation, voice-over casting, direction and recording, audio/video/music editing and delivery of the final videos for use on the manufacturer’s website.
Niagara Conservation Temperature-Controlled Showerhead Product Video
Rush Powers Media collaborated with creative agency, Marketing Support, Inc. to produce this video for Niagara Conservation to use as part of a sales presentation to a big box retailer. The product existed only as a prototype, and packaging and merchandising designs had not been developed. We created the look and feel for the video based on existing packaging designs for other products from the manufacturer. Our role in the project included scripting, voice-over casting/directing/recording, product illustration, motion graphics creation, video editing and delivery of the final video for use in the sales presentation.
Rush Powers Media collaborated with creative studio Big City Brand Co. to create a promotional video for the AutoProcessor professional event ticket brokerage technology platform. We created two versions of the video—an audio-free version that can be seamlessly looped (for use on their exhibitor booth screens at trade shows) and a version with sound (for use on their website). Our role in the production of the video included music selection and editing, creation of motion graphics based on creative direction and elements provided by Big City Brand Co., and delivering the finished versions of the video.
Advocate Health Care: Partnership with Slalom Consulting and Tableau Software
Slalom Consulting hired Rush Powers Media to produce a series of videos to support a joint Slalom/Advocate presentation at the Gartner Business Intelligence and Analytics Summit. After the event, we collaborated with Slalom to produce two additional videos—essentially repackaging the content originally captured for the presentation—that have been used in several marketing initiatives. The video above is one of the two videos created after the Summit. Our role in the production of all of the videos for this project included creative development, shooting and conducting all interviews, capturing b-roll footage and screen shots of the featured software, video storytelling and editing, creating motion graphics and delivering the videos in an HD presentation format.
Rush Powers Media collaborated with creative studio Big City Brand Co. to create an interactive product tour app and a screensaver video for technology company Sonoscan. These elements have been used as sales tools at the company’s exhibitor booth at conferences. The interactive product tour app is also used by individual members of the company’s sales team in meetings. Our role in the production of these elements included project management, gathering pre-existing visual elements, design, creation of motion graphics and delivering the final elements. Since the interactive product tour app is not intended for online use, the screensaver video has been included here to represent this project.
Chicago Bulls Free Agent Sales Pitch: Carlos Boozer
Rush Powers Media were one of three production companies hired by digital sports media company Silver Chalice to produce a series of 21 videos for the Chicago Bulls’ 2010 free agent campaign. The videos were presented on an iPad to the seven top free agents the Bulls were pursuing in the summer of 2010. The following link shows the video that played when Carlos Boozer—the only top free agent the Bulls signed (of the original seven they pursued)—powered up the iPad that was sent to him. We produced the lead, customized video for all seven free agents. Plus, we produced several other videos that were included on the iPad. We also shot several interviews with Bulls players/staff, as well as White Sox and Bears players for the project.
Xpressbet “On the Road” TV Commercial with Eddie Olczyk
Rush Powers Media was hired by marketing and communications company Agency360 to create a television commercial for online wagering company Xpressbet. The spot features hockey broadcaster, Eddie Olczyk, and was part of a celebrity spokesperson sponsorship package that Agency 360 designed for Xpressbet. Our role in the project included producing, directing and shooting new green screen footage of Eddie Olczyk, integrating that footage into an existing motion graphics-based Xpressbet commercial, and creating and delivering the new 30-second commercial.

We created two versions of the video—an audio-free version that can be seamlessly looped (for use on their exhibitor booth screens at trade shows) and an extended version with voice-over, sound design and music (for use on their website). Our role in the production of the video included creative development, voice-over talent selection/recording/editing, music/sound design selection and editing, creation of motion graphics using CAD renderings, brand elements and stock footage provided by Chief Enterprises, and delivering the finished versions of the video.
Rush University Medical Center: Why Get A Second Opinion?
Rush Powers Media collaborated with healthcare and hospital marketing agency SPM to produce a video that was incorporated into an online advertising campaign for Rush University Medical Center. The campaign focused on the importance of getting a second opinion when spine surgery has been recommended to a patient. Our role in the project included shooting physician interviews, video storytelling and editing, and delivering the final video in a web-ready format.
LiftMaster Garage Storage and Organization: Sales Experience Video
Rush Powers Media was hired by creative agency Marketing Support, Inc. to produce this sales experience video for LiftMaster. It is one of two videos created as part of a brand development project for a new line of garage storage and organization products and services. The goal of the videos was to educate the consumer on the sales and estimating process and the unique design application used by LiftMaster. Our production responsibilities included casting, studio production management, direction and shooting, video editing and motion graphics creation. The project also included management of all product and lifestyle photography needed for the new brand.
Rush Powers Media collaborated with Carolyn Grisko & Associates, a strategic communications firm, to produce a 10-minute public installation video for Gift of Hope’s National Donate Life Month campaign in April 2011. The video was originally installed in The Thompson Center in downtown Chicago, then continued to be publicly displayed around the state of Illinois for the remainder of 2011. Our responsibilities on the project included creative development, motion graphics creation, video editing and delivery of the final video as an HD file for display. (Note: This was a video-only project. There is no sound.)
Rush Powers Media collaborated with marketing and communications company Agency360 to produce this video for Hawthorne Race Course to recap the atmosphere and activities at their annual Camel and Ostrich Race event. The video was used as content for Hawthorne’s social media outlets. Our role in the project included shooting video coverage of the event, music and video editing, and motion graphics creation.
For their 2011 Calling All Communities campaign, U.S. Cellular awarded a total of $1 million to the 18 schools across the country who garnered the most votes. Three of the winning schools were in northern Illinois. Rush Powers Media was hired by Carolyn Grisko & Associates, a strategic communications firm, to shoot footage and interviews at the parties that U.S. Cellular threw at each Illinois school to celebrate their $50,000 awards. We then quickly edited the footage into short, event highlights videos that were posted on U.S. Cellular’s website.
GreenMark Public Relations hired Rush Powers Media to shoot and edit footage for their client, the Nature Conservancy. After spending a half day documenting a group of Chinese scientists’ visit to the Emiquon National Wildlife Refuge, we edited and delivered the footage as a b-roll package in HD for broadcast news coverage and as web-ready file for online promotional campaigns.
